UK Honours & Variety's 10 Brits to Watch
Starting in 2015, the film festival and Visit Newport Beach partnered to elevate the connection to the UK industry by honoring talent via the Newport Beach UK Honours held in London just ahead of the BAFTA Awards.
These festivities are held at the Rosewood Hotel in Holburn. Honors categories include Arts Champions, Breakout Talent, Artists of Distinction, Icons, and Outstanding Achievement in Global Cinema.

Similar to NBFF's Fall Honors, my responsibilities in coordinating this event entailed collaborating with the Variety team in selecting candidates and honorees, as well as reaching out to talent agents, publicists, and management teams to secure talent.

Selecting Candidates and Honorees
The candidate and honoree process aims to highlight promising British actors and industry figures who embody excellence and innovation in their craft, ensuring a diverse and compelling lineup for audiences to celebrate and discover. Some of the most notable actors I've helped choose over the years include Anya Taylor-Joy, Suki Waterhouse, and Fionn Whitehead.
Icons & Artists of Distinction
In addition to finding emerging talent, I was also tasked with finding actors/industry figures to honor who had accomplished careers worth recognizing and celebrating. Many of our Artists of Distinction and Icons included Sir Patrick Stewart, Lesley Manville, Richard E. Grant, and Sir Ian Holm.
